TEDxEmbryRiddle 2011

In fall 2011, I was invited to speak at ERAU's inaugural TEDxEmbryRiddle event.  For this talk, I spoke about the importance of unmanned aircraft systems in supporting science.  I used the NOAA Gale UAS project, for which I am co-PI to provide visual aids and a guide through the discussion.


Visiting Shuttle Discovery, April 2011

While visiting Kennedy Space Center for a research meeting, my group was invited to visit Shuttle Discovery.  This impromptu opportunity has been one of the highlights of my professional career.


Embry-Riddle STEM Summer Camps - Robotics Camp

For several years, Farahzad Behi and I have taught campers from ages 6 to 13 about the joys of robotics using Lego Mindstorms NXT kits.  The following photo shows the crowd we bring together during our final battle bots competition on the last day of camp.
